Thrift Store
We do appreciate your donations, but ask that you please leave them with us during store
hours. At times, so many boxes have been left on the porch that the door could not be
opened from the inside. This is the only exit from the store besides the front doors and
this must be kept clear in case of an emergency.
Though the vast majority of donors follow our guidelines for leaving
their donations, we occasionally have a problem.
The store accepts only items that are in good condition for resale to our patrons. In
order to maintain the value and usefulness of donated items, they should be stored inside
out of the heat, dust, dirt and rain. Legally, the Thrift Store cannot resell mattresses
or box springs. In addition, the Thrift Store has to pay to have unusable large items such
as mattresses hauled away by BFI. |
