Online Renewals & Hold Requests

Online Renewal

Online "RENEWALS" allow patrons to check their items out for a longer period of time conveniently and easily without having to visit the library in person.

1.  Enter your complete library card number (no spaces) in the Patron / Alternate ID Number space.
2.  Enter your PIN number (the last four digits of your card number), click Submit Request.
3.  When your record appears, select Current Loans or Quick View/Loans, then check boxes to the left of titles you need to renew, then click "Renew" above "Title".
4.  Review your record.  If the date(s) do not change, the item(s) cannot be renewed and you may see a message to check at the circulation desk.

RESTRICTIONS:  Fines, items already renewed for the maximum time, overdues, and items requested by another person cannot be renewed.

Hold Request

Please Note Revised Holds Policy: Due to increased demands for our holds service, arrived hold titles are held for only 3 business days (including Saturdays when we are open) after you are notified by email or telephone.  If items are not picked up during this courtesy period, the holds will be cancelled and the items returned to circulation.

"HOLDS" are used for patrons to join a waiting list for popular titles, to request any item currently checked out, or to have a title pulled from the shelf to hold for you (up to three days).

1. Click Search or Browse to select the title you need (watch for correct format: book, CD, video, etc.)
2.  When the title appears click on the words REQUEST HOLD to the left of the title.  Then enter your card information.  Placing a check next to the title saves the title to a list, it does not place a HOLD.  You may also click on the desired title and then click on the HOLDS REQUEST push pin at the right-hand top of the page then enter your card information.
3.  Patron/Alternate ID is your complete library card number (no letters) and your PIN number is the last four digits of your card number.
4.  Submit your request.  Your item is now on hold.  If your email is on record, you will receive an email when the item is available for checkout.  No email?  A staff member will call when it is available.

RESTRICTIONS:  Overdue items, outstanding fines, and any block on your record.
